Serpentine Coil Construction - Part 1

Serpentine Coil Construction - Part 1 Video Clips.

An overview of the construction of the serpentine coil. The end product here is a pre-form coil that will later be cast into a stator. Each of the three phases begins as a large coil of 48 turns of 22 GA wire and is bent and positioned into a fixture. Once in position, the coils are coated in resin and clamped to form a sub-assembly that will be used in the final stator.
