This is a run-up of my home built turbocharger turbojet engine. Long, but maybe of some interest to other engine builders. It is quite old now and dated somewhat and I now know far more about jet engines than I did then. Please go easy on me guys... It is my first video! I would like to issue a challenge to all fellow Do it Yourself Turbojet engine builders and brushless electric R/C park flyer hobbiests/manufacturers out there. Please comment and discuss the feasibility of mounting a small "outrunner" style permanent magnet brushless electric motor to the compressor side of this and similar engines. I realize that shaft harmonics and bearing limitations will play a very significant role in whether or not such a motor/generator combination would hang together at 140000 RPM or more. Of course, associated power electronics with the ability to switch from starter motor to DC generator would need to be designed as well to efficiently (relatively speaking) produce electricity at these ultra high speeds. Such a device would mimic some of the hybrid turbocharger or "electrically assisted turbochargers" that have been developed by Garrett and others in recent years. These have been designed, developed and built to reduce "turbo lag" and recover wasted energy in the form of electricity with the intention of supplementing the charging system in vehicles. When our 12 volt DC power source is connected to the cell, the electrical pressure causes current to flow from one tube to another; negative to positive. A magnetic field is created around the tubes. You can see it drawing the tiny bubbles down towards the bottom of the cell. They then cycle back to the top, between the tubes. The outside tube has the most influence on the bubbles moving in a downward direction. The magnetic flux movement is from North to South on the outside and South to North on the inside of the tubes. Electrolysis takes place on the surface of the tubes. Therefore, surface area on the tubes plays a part in the quantity of HHO that can be produced. When DC voltage is applied to the tubes it causes a chemical reaction in the water molecules. The water molecules H+ ions become attracted to the Negative Cathode in the cell, and OH- ions become attracted to the Positive Anode. The byproduct is HH gas on the Cathode tube and O gas on the Anode tube. In other words, the release of the positive hydrogen and negative oxygen gas. If you could get down to eye level with the waters surface, you would see tiny bubbles jumping out of the water and popping. Looks similar to those caused by pouring carbonated water. The popping of the bubbles sets the gas free as it rises. The hydrogen is 14 times lighter than air ...

This video is a short clip to show the work I've been doing on the G3-I that I designed. It uses Gasification of biomass, in this case pellets, to produce hydrogen and carbon monoxide for the purpose of running internal combustion engines. This unit is still under development.
